日本＋アメリカで海外大学卒業。安心の留学ならレイクランド大学へ。

　日本に来て約1年になりますが、日本への留学は私が想像していた以上に大変なことでした。何しろ初めは日本語の基礎（日本語のアルファベット）である“ひらがな“さえも知らずに日本に来たんですから、何て愚かなんだろうと思っていました。日本に来て数週間経っても、私の中の恐怖心と日本に留学するにはまだ準備ができていないという不安感は消えませんでした。日本に来たことを後悔し、高校時代を過ごしたアメリカに帰りたいと思っていました。でも、レイクランド大学のことを理解するようになり、大学で出会った友達と親しくなるにつれ、やっと日本が快適に感じられるようになりました。友人はいつでも助けてくれ、日本語の勉強や練習すら手伝ってくれました。本当に感謝しています。

　レイクランド大学ジャパン・キャンパスの人々は、これまで出会った人たちの中で一番親切な人たちです。他大学に比べてはるかに小さい少人数制のクラスでは、誰もが積極的に授業に参加し、教授と学生が親しく素晴らしい関係を築くことができます。レイクランド大学ジャパン・キャンパスは、私のように英語の勉強を続けながら日本語を学びたい人にとって素晴らしい選択肢だと思います。また、英語力を上げ、英語で様々さまざまなことを学びたいと考えている人にとっても素晴らしい挑戦の場所となることでしょう。

　It has been almost a year already since I had come to Japan. It has actually been a lot tougher than what I had though it would. At firsts I thought it was foolish that I had made the decision to come to Japan without even knowing Hiragana, the simplest of the Japanese alphabets. Somehow, even after several weeks of being in Japan, I still had some fears and feelings of being unprepared. I had regretted coming to Japan, and longed to return to the US, where I had stayed as a high school student. But then I got to know Lakeland College Japan Campus and the students; we became close friends and I started to finally feel comfortable being here. They are always here to help me with any kind of problem I may have, and have even helped me learn and improve my Japanese, which is something I really appreciate.

　People here at Lakeland College Japan Camps are some of the friendliest I have ever met. Classes here are relatively smaller in size compared to other schools, which I really think helps and encourages students to participate more in classes. That also builds a great relationship between the teachers and students. I can say, for someone like me who wanted to keep studying English and learn Japanese as well, it was a great choice for me to come to LCJ. Also, for those people whose focus is to come and learn more and study in English, I think this is a great challenge and place for them.
