日本＋アメリカで海外大学卒業。安心の留学ならレイクランド大学へ。

　“英語は積み重ね”中学生の時から実行することなく先生に言われ続けてきたこの言葉。レイクランド大学に入学してから初めてその通りだと悟った。英語漬けの日々を送り続けてたった半年だが着実に力をつけていく自分を実感しているからだ。英語で行われる授業にすっかり慣れた。友達と英語で会話することにも躊躇いがなくなった。エッセイが書けるようになった。文章が早く読めるようになった。変化は数え上げればきりがない。

　入学前に見たパンフレットの中のレイクランド生の言葉通り、毎日が勉強、勉強、勉強。先生達は課題を出して常に私達を忙しくさせる。課題の量の多さに圧倒されることもあるし、その内容の深さに頭を悩まされることもある。しかし、その分こなした時の達成感は大きいし、得るものも多い。一つ一つが自分の身になっていると思う。そして留学を目指す私に自信を与えてくれている。

　確かにレイクランド大学では勉強が一番に優先されるものだが、もちろん学生生活それだけではない。イベントやパーティーも定期的に開かれる。そのような場は新しい友達を作る良いチャンスだろう。ここでは年の差なんてあまり関係ない。この大学のフレンドリーな雰囲気が私は大好きだ。一緒に勉強したり、冗談を言い合ったり、相談し合ったり…。友達がいるから楽しい毎日を送ることができるのだ。無遅刻無欠席でいられるのだ。

　辛い時も確かにあるが、自信を持って言える。レイクランド大学を選んで良かったと。私達一人一人の頑張りをしっかり見てくれる先生がいるから。共に支え合える仲間がいるから。

　“English is something that requires effort every day” was something that I started continuously hearing from teachers since Middle School but was rarely carried out. It was after enrolling here at Lakeland College Japan that I first comprehended this. I continuously studies this English day by day for the first half year, but steadily I began to have real feelings about my own potential. I became completely used to being in a class performed in English. I also stopped hesitating from having conversations in English with my friends. I became able to write essays and read compositions much faster. If I count them up, the changes are endless.

　The life at Lakeland is just like it said in the pamphlets I had read before enrolling; study, study, study. The teachers hand out assignments and are always keeping us busy. The weight and amount of these assignments can be overwhelming at times, and the deepness of the contents can very worrisome. However, the sense of accomplishment about what I had just done is very big, and there were many things I was able to earn and acquire. I think it just becomes a part of you, one by one. Now I am giving myself confidence to aim at studying abroad.

　Studying at Lakeland College Japan is certainly one of the most difficult things, but of course a students life is not only that. Periodically there are different events and parties that open up. This is a great chance to meet new people and make new friends. Here it the separation and difference of grades doesn’t matter. The friendly atmosphere is something that I really like here. Studying together, telling jokes together, consulting with each other…I have friends here so I am able to have fun and keep going here. All of this makes LCJ a place that makes me want to be on time and not miss an opportunity.

　There are certainly some difficult times at LCJ, but you can say that you have self-confidence. It is also here that there are teachers who watch each individual’s efforts. My companions that support each other together are here too. It was great that I chose Lakeland College Japan.
