　私は2007年秋学期からレイクランド大学ジャパン・キャンパスで学んでいるブランドン・ハドソンです。私はレイクランド大学で学ぶため、日本のような素晴らしい国に来るのをとても楽しみにしていました。レイクランド大学はアメリカからの学生だけでなく日本の学生にも素晴らしい機会を与えてくれます。毎日の大学生活では異なる文化と学生の様々な経歴が交じり合い、とても貴重な経験が出来ます。

　カリフォルニアの大学に入学してから2年になりますが、私はアメリカから地球を半周して遠く離れたジャパンキャンパスでのアメリカ式の大学教育というものにとても興味がありました。レイクランド大学が提供する教育の機会は、全ての人が注目すべきものです。

　このユニークな探検は、参加する学生の教育分野だけでなく、卒業後の人生にも偉大な利益をもたらします。東京は私が住んでいたカリフォルニアに比べると少し寒いですが、心温かい学生に囲まれ寒さを感じることはありません。レイクランド大学で過ごす時間は、洞察、啓蒙、成長と楽しみでいっぱいです。レイクランド大学は『学生数』という点でみると比較的小さな学校といえますが、これは学生にとってとても大きな利点でもあります。少人数制クラスではディスカッションに参加する機会が多く与えられ、教授も学生一人ひとりを見てくれているので、更なる成功のチャンスが得られます。また、少人数なのでより多くの新しい友達を作ることも出来ます。

　私は、大学というのはすぐれた学問分野を学ぶ場ということだけでなく、楽しい社交的な雰囲気であるべきだと思います。そして、それを全ての学生に実現させているのがレイクランド大学です。

　私はレイクランド大学で多くの人に出会えたことをとても嬉しく思います。レイクランド大学では、毎日のように世界から集まっている学生たちと積極的な文化交流が行われ、アメリカ留学をひかえた日本人学生とってよりよい準備期間となり、また世界から集まる留学生に今日の世界を異なる視点から見つめなおし、よりよく理解する機会を与えてくれています。

My name is Brandon Hudson, I am a third year college student and have spent the past fall semester here at Lakeland College Japan Campus.

I was very excited to come to a wonderful country like Japan to attend this university. Lakeland College offers a great opportunity to students from America as well as students in Japan; the mix of culture and backgrounds that takes place at this college everyday is an invaluable experience.

Having attended university in California for two years already, I was interested to see such an accurate depiction of American college style education, half way around the globe. The opportunity offered at Lakeland College Japan is something that should grasp the attention of all; this unique endeavourer gives all participating students a great advantage within the realm of education, as well as life after college. The weather here in Tokyo is a lot colder than where I come from in California, but it is substituted by the warm embrace of the students at the College.

My time here at Lakeland College Japan has been filled with insight, enlightenment, growth, and fun. Lakeland College Japan is a relatively small college in terms of how many students are enrolled, but this is a great advantage to a perspective student. Small class sizes allow for the opportunity to participate in discussion, and allow for a lot more personal attention from professors, ensuring a greater chance of success. The size of this College is also beneficial because it allows you to be able to meet many new friends.

College should be a place to excel in academics, and to have a thriving social atmosphere; Lakeland College Japan offers a unique opportunity for this to be a reality for all students. I am glad to have been able to meet many new people here at Lakeland, there is a high level of cultural exchange that happens here everyday, this is to better prepare Japanese students as their get ready to travel to America to continue their education, and to allow international students like myself to see the world from a different perspective, and allow for a better understanding of the world in which we live.
