Students from the Japan Campus don't just study English while they are in Japan. They acquire all the necessary skills for studying at an American university before leaving for the US. The high graduation rate is evidence of the quality of both the students and the classes at Lakeland College.

Lakeland College operates an internship program for students. In these internships, students receive real life training at corporations as part of their university studies and submit reports on the training in their classes to analyze whether that particular profession is right for them. This program helps students decide what kind of job is right for them through actual work experience.

For the most part, job hunting starts with the internet. The internet allows students to collect job information from anywhere on the globe, and most corporations post job positions on their websites.

Career forums are held several times a year for Japanese students studying abroad. Companies looking to hire Japanese students who have studied abroad participate in these career forums and interact with the students directly.
