Search Mailbox

Sometimes, even if you do organize your mailboxes, you might not be able to find an email you want. For example, let's say that two months ago, you got an email from one of your friends which told you about a new restaurant. Now, you would like to go there, but you forgot which friend sent the email, and when they sent it. How can you find the message, especially if you have 200 messages in your mailbox?

LCJ Mail allows you to search the text of all your emails. Just click on the "Search" button on the main page, then enter the information for the search:

1. Enter the word or phrase that you want to search for: this would be the key word or phrase. In our example, let's say that you remember that the restaurant is in Yoyogi, so you would type "Yoyogi" in this window.

2. Case Sensitive Search: if you choose this, then upper- and lower-case letters must match exactly. For example, "Yoyogi" and "yoyogi" would not be a match.

3. Search in area: this decides which part of the message you wish to search in. "To" will search the email addresses of the recipients only (mostly your address); "From" will search the email addresses of the senders; "Subject" searches the subject, or title, of all emails, and "Message Body" searches the actual message of each email.

4. Search By Folder(s): this decides which mailbox or mailboxes you wish to search in. If you want to select all mailboxes, then click on that button at the bottom.
